There are many electric vehicles available today including sedans, SUVs, and luxury cars.
The range of most electric vehicles charging can exceed 100 miles on a single charge. Many can exceed 200 to 300 miles. This is plenty of range for most people.
It may seem to many that electric vehicles (EVs) are only for those who are extremely environmentally conscious, or have a big vehicle budget. But there are now so many different types of electric vehicles, and they are now more affordable. While the range used to also be a factor, most people can make their regular commutes in a single charge cycle. There are increasingly more charging stations available in most metropolitan cities.
Do You Have The Cash?
Electric vehicles cost much less than a gas-powered car in regard to fuel costs. Electric vehicles have fewer moving parts than a gas powered car, and therefore require less maintenance. Breaks in taxes, lower vehicle insurance costs, and even access to High Occupancy Vehicle lanes offset the typically higher cost of an electric vehicle. EVs Are Not Just For The Economist
EVs handle much better, and the acceleration is almost unbelievable compared to a gas powered vehicle.
You can charge your vehicle at home. Either the car will have an extension cord so that you can plug in the car to a standard 120 Volt household outlet, or up to a 50 Amp 240 Volt outlet for faster charging. There are also actual charging units that can be installed on the wall, which may allow even faster charging.
You CAN Take It With You
When you’re not at home, there are charging stations available. Some of the stations are super chargers that can charge your car in minutes as opposed to hours. If you are traveling across the country, a route can be mapped out where you are able to hit the super chargers along the way and never have to stop for regular gasoline.
